Kappa FuturFestival is a techno festival held annually in the Parco Dora place, Torino, Italy. Originally known as FuturFestival, at present it gets its name from the famous sportswear brand ‘Kappa’, which supports and organizes the event. Since the beginning of 2009, there was an idea to create such the festival in order to celebrate New Year events. That is how, in 2009 FuturFestival paired up with Capodanno di Città di Torino for New Years in Turin at Piazza Vittorio, where the headliners for the night were the legendary Groove Armada.
In 2012, the festival was renamed to Kappa FuturFestival and embarked on its first summer as a techno festival. It quickly became one of the best top five European techno festivals to visit. In 2015 the festival hit a record with a 40,000 visitors and introduced in Italy the Cashless technology for the first time.
Over the years Kappa FuturFestival, has shown great and diverse booking by representing both talented upcoming DJ’s and the popular techno and tech house DJs, such as Ben Klock, Joseph Capriati, Marco Carola, Marcel Dettman, Martinez Brothers, Rødhad, Seth Troxler, Sven Vath Tale of Us, and many more, turning Turin into a techno fairy-tale for 2 hot summer days.
