Celebrating What Happens 10th birthday

It doesn’t get any cooler than turning ten. What Happens is turning 10 and is bringing Pleasurekraft back for an extended set. The visit in 2016 got rated one of the best parties at Culture Box last year with queues round the block.

Danish legend and What Happens label boss Tim Andresen spreads his magic with the opening set in Black Box while a trio of long-standing What Happens residents and affiliates are lined up in Red Box. Denmark’s new shooting star Denis Horvat of Innervisions and Aeon fame, Ian Bang from CPH Deep and resident Steffen H.

To celebrate the label’s 10th birthday we at The Sound Clique decided to ask the head honcho Tim Andresen, along with 3 of its residents DJs Ian Bang, Steffen H and Denis Horvat, to list their 10 favourite tracks released by the What Happens label. So get ready for tomorrow’s party with these 10 What Happens classics.

Tim Andresen’s favorites

Tim Andresen – Lonely House (City Soul Project Remix)

A soft and gentle remix of Tim’s original track, coming from City Soul Project.

Sous Sol – Frisky (Original Mix)

Released last year on What Happens, this dreamy and deep track comes from Switzerland based dj duo Sous Sol.

James Dutton – Saola Circus (Original Mix)

A splendid track for the dance floor coming from Amnesia Ibiza’s resident DJ James Dutton (Athea).

Tim Andresen – Do It (Original Mix)

Coming from the man himself is this deep and groovy tech house track, part of his Transitions/Do it EP released on What Happens.

Jesus Pablo & Di Riviera – You Got The Feeling (Chris Minus Remix)

With the truly monstrous piano hook the You Got The Feeling remix by Chris Minus is destined to be an ear catcher in the clubs this summer.

Stanny Abram – Makelle Solo Vagana

The Makelle Solo Vagana EP is coming from the Slovenian house maestro Stanny Abram. This track contains his signature deep rolling percussion-filled sound able to move every dance-floor.

No Brainer – Il Pleut (Original Mix)

The track from No Brainer blends perfectly the best elements of the deeper end of the house music scale, keeping the drive in focus and maintaining an uplifting feel with the funk-fuelled grooves.
